--> openSUSE team released its new version of the Education targeted openSUSE version that is the openSUSE Edu Li-f-e 12.2 on September 14 2012  
openSUSE Edu Li-f-e 12.2 is built on openSUSE 12.2 with all the post release updates.As the name suggests openSUSE Edu Li-f-e is a version of openSUSE meant for students,teachers and also the administrative officers in the educational field.Packman can be used for the additional softwares the users want.openSUSE Edu Li-f-e 12.2 comes with KDE, Gnome and Cinnamon desktop interfaces.Sugar desktop suite have done a great come back in the latest version of this Linux for Education.Read the official release announcement of openSUSE Edu Li-f-e 12.2 here.
